3 Solubility Slightly soluble in water containing carbon dioxide or any ammonium salt, practically insoluble in water and in ethanol (95%). It is soluble with effervescence in dilute acids.
4 Substances insoluble in acetic acid Not more than 0.2 %.
5 Arsenic Not more than 4 ppm.
6 Barium Specified test. The solution remains clear for not less than 15 minutes.
7 Iron Not more than 200 ppm.
8 Magnesium and alkali metals Not more than 1.0 %.
9 Chlorides Not more than 250 ppm.
10 Sulphates Not more than 0.3%.
11 Loss on drying Not more than 2.0%.
12 Assay Not less than 98.0% and not more than 100.5% of CaCO3, calculated on the dried basis.

PACKAGING

MOLCAL™ CAR is packed in an HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 5 years. It is stored in a airtight, sealed containers in a cool, well-ventilated area in a dry environment.
